The Queen of the Stage Competition brought out a lot of people to The Haven on Monday October 15th. 2 acts, Tre’ Illi and Juice & Lipstick battled it out for the crown. The judges were Orlando’s DJ Duclos, Miami producer Yung Hollywood of Poe Boy Ent and My City Merch’s MJ. When the scores were tallied, it was determined Tre’Illi won by just one point!

The main event kicked off with an always rousing performance of “Peelin Shrimp” by Roger Corvette as well as an amazing set by poet/emcee MyVerse.

As winner of Queen of the Stage, Tre’ was awarded a radio interview on 91.5 WPRK with DJ Wired and Rebel Black, a photo shoot with CharlieB Photography and online promo from www.RepOrlandoHipHop.com. The runners up Lipstick & Juice won a photo shoot as well.

Next Monday 10/22 My City Mondays will feature open mic from 9p-12 (just show up and perform) followed by the main event featuring Orlando hip hop vets Twan D the Student, NME, Agony, Boogs Malone and J-Terra.  Ladies in free til 12 then just $5, guys $7 all night. This is an 18+ event.
